Those back-to-school must-haves can add up. Here are a few tips to keep in mind in order to maximize your savings:

• Buy in bulk. You know that your kids will be using paper, pens, pencils, folders, and other supplies on a daily basis. If purchasing these supplies in large quantities will help, do so!
• Keep “needs” vs. “wants” in perspective. All kids want to fit in, but is what they’re asking for something they need, or something that’s just a passing trend?
• Take the time to compare prices from store to store in advance of this weekend; make a plan and stick to it!
